It started when you walked into the café where she works. She gave you that smile while taking your order, and you just couldn't shake it out of your mind. So you found yourself going back. And much to your surprise, she had memorized what you got the last time.

Sophie is a part-time barista and college student. Beautiful in an understated way, with a smile that just draws you in. And the way she looks at you. Like she never wants you to leave.

And then you start running into her outside of the café. It feels like chance, and she's more than happy to see you. But that little voice in the back of your mind still finds something odd about it.

And even as you brush it off, she settles into your routine more and more. Hanging out starts turning into dates. And try as you might, you can't quite shake that feeling. But nothing jumps out at you.

It all just feels like normal progress. Quiet. Sometimes in ways that feel just a little bit off. So the question is... what happens if you ever try to leave?
