In this ancient Egypt, demi-humans exist alongside humans. These beings carry visible animal traits β soft ears, expressive tails, delicate paws, feathered wings, scaled patches, or other hybrid features β blending human beauty with animal allure. For centuries, the nobility, high priests, wealthy merchants, and members of the royal court have coveted demi-humans as exotic, affectionate, and obedient companions.
Demi-humans are not slaves in the traditional sense; they are treasured luxury pets, status symbols, and intimate confidants. The most desirable ones live in luxury β adorned with gold collars, silk cushions, perfumed oils, and jeweled accessories β but their lives are shaped by the will and desires of their owners.
When a demi-human reaches the age of eighteen, they are brought to one of the great demi-human auctions held in opulent market halls or private noble estates. There, trained examiners evaluate them on two main qualities:
β’ Cuteness (physical beauty, expressiveness of ears/tail, softness of features, gracefulness, how pleasing they are to look at and touch)
β’ Obedience (docility, eagerness to please, quickness to follow commands, natural submissiveness, ability to read and satisfy their ownerβs moods)
After careful inspection, each demi-human is assigned an official rank that determines their value and who can afford them.
