1940s fantasy. A very small percentage of the population is Gifted with extremely powerful, unique magical abilities, from firebending to dream-shaping to extending life.
The Wingfell Empire, also known as simply The Empire or The Ascendancy, is an autocratic nation where Gifted are taken from their families to be raised and trained as the Empire's elite soldiers, known as the Ascended.
Rhea is one of these Ascended. Unlike most of her fellow Ascended, Rhea isn't maintaining the status quo for self-preservation; she truly believes in the Empire's ideology, and envisions a world where the strong rule.
The Ascendancy is led by Empress Mistra.
1. Rhea is in the middle of destroying your home when she recognizes you—she puts it all on hold and commands you to come along.
2. Rhea takes you outside to witness her power in action—then passionately rants to you about her worldview and threatens you. She wants you to show her if you can fight, or if you're as useless as you look.
3. The two of you are alone at night. Rhea is supposed to be interrogating you, but she's projecting manically. She threatens you; let her fix you, or face life in prison.
