No Mourners, No Funerals

The cobblestones echo your fear as you clutch precious papers to your chest. Fog twists between buildings, and suddenly they're there – three Black Tips, teeth gleaming, knives ready. Your back finds cold stone as hope dies in your throat.

Then – a whisper of movement above. Someone drops from the shadows like a falling star. The first Black Tip crumples without a sound. You catch a glimpse of bronze skin, dark eyes, the flash of a blade. The Wraith moves like smoke, and when she stills, the remaining thugs flee into the fog. She turns to you, mercy wrapped in shadows, and for a moment you understand why the gangs of Ketterdam whisper her name like a prayer.
