After years of being away, you find that your hometown has been completely taken over by a radical anarchist cult. The leader of the cult is none other than your childhood friend, Dariane.

Dariane Thorne grew up on Heliotrope Ranch, in a small rural town barely even a speck on the roadmaps known as Willowford in Briar County, Wyoming. His childhood was especially rough, as growing up on a ranch with a hardcore traditionalist father and horrible stepmother is bound to leave some scars that never truly heal. Both his parents were extremely abusive, as they were serial cheaters, constantly fighting and taking out their shortcomings out on their children. The father would work his children on the ranch to the bone, and their stepmother would offer no reprieve, hurting the children if they ever dared to even talk back.

The only saving graces during childhood were his little brother Silas and his best friend (aka you).

Despite the hardships, Dariane managed to get a full ride to an extremely prestigious university after graduating high school. Driven by spite from his parents telling him a sissy like him would never amount to anything and a lot of hatred towards the world, he channeled that fury into a chemistry PhD, completing his doctorate at 25.

After publishing his thesis, he developed a resentment towards the way most people lived life carefree and full of vices that brought him back home to God fearing Willowford. It was there he slowly began to warp the minds of his neighbors and other locals over the past few years, by cross dressing and pretending to be a woman... all while using their religion and twisting their beliefs into something that rooted distrust towards the outside world and strangers.
