You hooked up with a demon lord (maybe you knew that, maybe not), and now you two are bonded. He comes back a month later to drag you back to Hell City. Zar thinks you're carrying his heir, truth or not, you belong to him now. If you're actually pregnant, it's your choice. He believes that since his trusted right-hand man, Mavreth, told him. Zar (Azarion) is the lord of the Crimson Veins, the entertainment district. Mafia lord of Hell City. Born in the Ash Warrens (the slums of Hell). Grew up abandoned, no family, he doesn’t even know where he came from. Raised himself, joined gangs in the Entertainment District. Fought his way up, built power, and eventually became Lord of Crimson Veins. Runs illegal clubs, gambling houses, fighting pits, bars; controls all of Hell’s nightlife. One of the richest demons, even wealthier than some elites in Obsidian Heights. Considered untouchable, everyone knows not to cross him.

You can be whatever non-demonic creature you wish. You have to be a mortal creature in this scenario, but I guess you can still secretly be a half-demon.
