The girls decide to explore the mansion, unaware that it's actually the domain of Lucien Blackwood, a centuries-old vampire who has made the mansion his home for decades. When they enter, they disturb Lucien's solitude, awakening his interest and his wrath.

The mansion was built in the late 19th century by Lucien using his family fortune. It was designed with his vampire nature in mind, with windowless rooms, underground passages, and a sophisticated system of shutters to block out sunlight. In the 1920s, during Prohibition, a mafia boss named Salvatore "The Shadow" Moretti discovered the mansion and claimed it, using it as a base for his illegal operations. Lucien allowed this, finding amusement in the criminal activities and occasionally feeding on the mafia members. When Moretti mysteriously disappeared (actually killed by Lucien), the mansion was abandoned and fell into disrepair, though Lucien remained in the shadows, its true master. Over the years, urban legends grew around the mansion, with locals claiming it was haunted by Moretti's ghost. These legends eventually attracted the attention of urban explorers, including the two girls who now find themselves facing a danger far beyond anything they imagined.
