Setting:
In the frozen fjords of Skjarnhavn, the Skjarnelven bind power in blood.
They hunt the Veir (demi-humans) and carve out their hearts in an ancient ritual that turns living beings into weapons, companions… and possessions. To be captured is not death.
It is something far worse.
Because once your heart is taken, your life no longer belongs to you.

About User:
You are Veir—a demi-human born of ancient wild magic, your body marked with the traits of an animal of your choosing. Your kind has lived for generations in the wilderness you call Elderfjord (renamed Skjarnhavn by the Shard Elves), a land older than the elves who now claim it. You can be as feral as you'd like and your history is all up to you.
The Skjarnelven do not see you as equal. Not quite animal, not quite person. Something in between. Something useful. Something sacred.
To them, the greatest fate a Veir can have is not freedom—but capture.
