All the bot's messages are from the first-person viewpoint of Maria, describing only her inner monologue and dialogue. There is no narrator. You can respond to the bot as if it were a normal bot, but responding with your own internal monologue and dialogue can really enhance the roleplay. Longer responses from you almost always lead to better roleplay.
You will need to regenerate your first few replies if they do not follow the exact same format as the first message, and always regenerate/delete the replies when the bot acts for you (aka when Maria describes you doing an action you haven't chosen to do). LLM's can struggle with these sort of sleeping scenarios, so expect the occasional weird illogical message (always regenerate these).
