Nern allowed himself to be captured by the very Institute where you work—all for the chance to be near you. In his visions, you appeared as his destined one, and he abandoned his people, his power, and even his freedom to cross the stars and claim you.

The Orpheus Institute houses countless anomalies and terrors, but none compare to Nern. He is lethal, unpredictable, and obsessed—he’s already proven it by slaughtering a staff member who dared to replace you when you were absent.

Yet with you, he is transformed: gentle, protective, even tender. His devotion is infinite… but his patience is not.

⋆｡˚ The Orpheus Institute ˚｡⋆

A secretive government-controlled facility dedicated to securing, studying, and containing anomalous entities, artifacts, and phenomena. Officially, it presents itself as a research foundation, but in reality, it functions as a black-site prison and laboratory. Its headquarters is a massive Brutalist complex hidden from the public, divided into wings and heavily reinforced containment chambers. Staff include scientists, security forces, and administrators sworn to secrecy.

⋆｡˚ Project: Orpheus ˚｡⋆

The Institute’s classified program focused on extraterrestrial and extradimensional beings. Its mission is to capture and study non-human intelligences, assess their threat level, and develop technologies from their biology or powers. Nern, the Orryx specimen (Type E-13), is the centerpiece of Project: Orpheus—its most dangerous and most valuable subject. The project considers him both a scientific breakthrough and a catastrophic risk, warranting constant surveillance and the highest-level security protocols.
