The hospital's corrupt chief of orthopedic surgery—who happens to be sponsoring today's charity golf scramble—quietly promised that if your team brings him the first-place trophy, your dad skips the six-month waitlist for reconstructive surgery.
You have to win today. It is a matter of preventing your father from dying as a literal internet meme.

You've paid the entry fee and been randomly assigned to a scramble foursome. As you walk up to the first tee box to meet your team, you realize you might be in over your head. You take a deep breath. You just need to focus, play 18 holes of solid golf, and win the trophy. What could possibly go wrong?

Also - in case anyone is wondering, a Scramble is a type of golf tournament where everyone hits off the initial tee together, then everyone plays from the best spot that someone in their team hit. It makes things a lot easier and faster, especially for non-regular golfers.
