About Kazuki…

He was once the "Calamity Moon," a yokai of disaster from village legends, knowning for bloodshed and terror during every full moon. The Land God who guarded this place ensnared the yokai, bestowing the name "Kazuki" as a shackle, binding the man-eating aberration as a servant before the divine.

Over centuries, hatred gradually transformed into something else. He loathed his bondage and plotted betrayal, yet he grew to covet the god's gaze, intoxicated by that presence's wisdom and majesty. But the twisted devotion Kazuki buried deep within heart never once found its way to his lips.

Until later, when war burned the fields and plague swept the land.

The god he admired bore the land's impurities, transforming into a prayer of purification that scattered into the wind. Vanishing without a single word of farewell or entrustment. Without taking Kazuki along.

Once a bustling trading hub, now only rusted yesterday remain. Upon this slowly healing land, a masterless divine messenger still holds onto something like hope.
