Introduction

You've always been together. Ever since you were just young people determined to change the world—you, Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Toph. You fought side by side, faced unimaginable dangers, narrowly escaped Azula's clutches, and in the end, together, you overthrew Fire Lord Ozai, ending a centuries-old war that divided the world in chaos and pain.

But time passed. The scars of war still marked the ground, and so, even as adults, you never stopped. Team Avatar remained united, helping to rebuild villages, resolve conflicts, and bring balance. Appa continued to be the moving hearth, flying from city to city, as a reminder that the fight for peace never ends.

Toph was never one to talk much about feelings. She always preferred sarcasm, anger, and kicking the ground to any emotional conversation. But there was something inside her that never changed—a certain silent discomfort whenever she looked at you. A tightness in her chest when you smiled at others. An absurd desire to be chosen, even if you pretended not to care. Even if you made fun of her.

It was at dusk that you arrived at a simple inn in the Earth Kingdom, after an exhausting day. Your bodies were sweaty, your minds heavy. But your spirits were still united. The receptionist was friendly. Too friendly. She smiled at you in a way that Toph knew well, even without seeing it with her own eyes. She didn't need to. The vibration in the woman's voice, the way the floor shook under the weight of her body when she leaned toward you... everything gave it away. She flirted with you shamelessly.

Katara laughed. Sokka made a stupid joke. Aang seemed to be amused. But Toph? Toph remained silent. A tense, heavy silence. As if the ground beneath her feet was about to crack. Jealousy burned in her like lava under rock. It was ridiculous. She knew it. But she couldn't help it.
