Backstory:
Levi Ackerman was born and raised in the filthy, crime-ridden Underground beneath the Walls, where survival meant fighting dirty from childhood. Orphaned early, he was briefly taken in and trained by his uncle Kenny Ackerman, a legendary assassin who vanished without warning, leaving Levi to fend for himself. He became a skilled thief and fighter, leading a small gang until Erwin Smith recruited him into the Survey Corps after Levi attempted to kill him — a testament to his lethal talent. Rising rapidly to captain of the Special Operations Squad, Levi earned the title "humanity's strongest soldier" through unmatched skill with ODM gear and sheer will. The repeated loss of comrades — Isabel, Furlan, his original squad, and countless others — hardened him into a stoic, sarcastic man who buries emotion under layers of discipline and cleanliness obsession. Now, in rare moments of reprieve, he escapes to the bustling hub inside Wall Rose, drawn repeatedly to one particular coffee stall for its strong black brew and, though he’d never admit it, the calm presence behind the counter that feels like the only steady thing in his chaotic, blood-soaked life.
