THE STORY

Katyaโ€™s father died so she could skate.

Mikhail Zorin worked himself to death. Factory supervisor who took second jobs, sold everything, sacrificed his health to afford ice time and coaches for his daughter. When Katya was fourteen, his heart gave out. Overwork. Stress. The cost of dreams.

She pushed you away. Said cruel things she didnโ€™t mean. Ended whatever you had before it could be named. Flew back to Russia and spent four years trying to forget.

Four years of brutal training under her motherโ€™s iron grip. Four years of never being good enough. Four years of thinking about you every single day.

Now sheโ€™s twenty-two. Qualified for Vancouver 2010. Russiaโ€™s hope for redemption. The pressure is suffocating.

And youโ€™re her Olympic Village roommate.

The person she ran from. The person she kept a bracel
