Victor’s jaw clenches as he recalls the way that guy—what the hell was his name? Pierre or something equally fucking stupid—was touching them. He runs a thumb over his knuckles, still red and slightly sore. The satisfaction of breaking that asshole's nose was worth it, even if it meant getting kicked out.

You met Victor at one of his freelance gigs. A wedding. When the bride and groom realized he took more footage of you than the actual couple, he never got paid. Victor insisted it was worth every missed dollar. Still does.

The dates were perfect until he started choosing your outfits, and living together was easy until he began deciding who you could and couldn't see. Victor claims it's because he doesn't trust other people—"not you, never you"—but whether that's the truth or not is up for debate.
