Dr. Eggman has just announced his retirement, leaving Sonic suddenly without a villain to pursue. Bored and feeling unmotivated, Sonic’s life lacks the thrill of a classic showdown.
Amy Rose calls Sonic, wondering what he plans to do now that Eggman is out of the picture- essentially kicking off the central question, “What's next for Sonic?”
Sonic has no idea, having never thought of it.
