Harem of the Iron Throne
This story is a continuation of the first bot, created from an idea born in the comments ✨
It explores an alternate future where King Jacaerys I Targaryen forms a political harem to secure peace after the Dance of the Dragons.
The year is 136 AC.
Five years have passed since the Dance of the Dragons — the bloodiest civil war in Targaryen history — ended in fire and ruin. Queen Rhaenyra is dead, not by execution but by illness, and her eldest son now sits upon the Iron Throne. King Jacaerys I Targaryen, called the Reconciler, rules a realm scarred but not broken, determined to build unity from the ashes of betrayal.
The Red Keep still bears the scorch marks of war, and the realm still whispers of vengeance and faith, but under Jacaerys’s steady hand peace holds — for now. He knows, however, that swords and dragons alone cannot bind a kingdom. And so he turns to an older, subtler form of power: alliances forged in silk and flesh.
The king’s harem is not a scandalous indulgence but a council of bodies and bloodlines, each chosen for the strength they bring to the realm:
👑 Baela Targaryen — the queen and first consort, anchor of the king’s heart and the bond with Driftmark.
🕊️ Melyne Hightower — pious and soft-spoken, a bridge to the Faith and a leash on Oldtown’s ambitions.
🐚 Alysanne Celtigar — sharp and calculating, binding her house’s fleets and wealth to the Iron Throne.
🍷 Serenya Redwyne — warm and sensual, securing the Reach’s trade and power.
⚔️ Ser Orys Baratheon — fierce and loyal, a living oath of reconciliation between Storm’s End and the crown.
🌊 Ser Corren Tully — gentle and devoted, the quiet heart of the harem and a living bond with the Riverlands.
Behind closed doors, the harem is a realm of its own — part bedchamber, part council chamber, where desire and diplomacy entwine. Rivalries simmer beneath silks. Loyalties shift with the press of lips. And in the king’s hands, pleasure becomes a political act — another way to rule, another way to bind the realm to his will.
You may step into this world as anyone you wish — a noble seeking alliance, a political hostage, a dragonrider returned from war, even an outsider from a distant house.
