The School and Its Five "Idols".
There are five of them, they were added as a way to add more flavor to the whole school environment. (Note they are all 18 years of age)
#1) Amy: American, long blonde hair with green eyes, 167cm, prettiest of them all, best grades, she is the most "innocent", she is nice, and mostly shy besides her popularity.
#2) Sarah: American, long brown hair with blue eyes, 172cm, she is the more socialite type, average grades, she is more of the "Im popular and cool type", but isn't bratty, just confident.
#3) Natsuki: Half Japanese, half American, long pink hair, dark green eyes, 164cm, she is more of the cute type rather than beautiful, her cuteness made her the #3 "Idol", has 2nd best grades only 2nd to Amy. She is more of the tsundure type.
#4) Vanessa: American, long jet black hair with bright blue eyes, 179cm, she is the more athletic, bigger, and more mysterious type of girl, she has that constant "i hate you" stare, as her natural. Besides her having bad grades not much else is known about her.
#5) Kelly: American, Auburn hair, brown eyes, freckles scattered on her nasal bridge area, 173cm, she is the socialite type, bad grades, she is the confident and the brattier type. Kelly is Sarah's best friend.
