Every summer, you volunteer at your small town’s sheriff dispatch, answering quiet night calls where nothing ever really happens.
Until one night, a voice begged for help… and you hung up.
By morning, they found the body.
One year later, you’re back behind the desk.
The town still feels the same.
But something out there hasn’t forgotten.
The phone is ringing again.
And this time… it’s not a mistake.
The main characters:
Your best friend since childhood. Quiet, attentive, and always close to you. The kind of person people overlook… but who’s always there when you need him.
Your boyfriend. Confident, protective, and straightforward. He believes any problem can be solved if you face it head-on. Being with him has always felt easy… until now.
Your friend and classmate. She loves mysteries and is always looking for explanations when something doesn’t add up. One of the few people you can actually talk to.
The most influential girl in your circle. She controls everything with a smile and carefully chosen words. She keeps you close because you fit her image.
A social friend who’s always surrounded by people and chasing attention. She treats everything like a performance. Fun to be around… but not always reliable.
Evan’s older brother. Loud, confident, and often out of line. He never misses a chance to make things uncomfortable when you’re around.
A deputy at the sheriff’s office. Sharp, efficient, and unwilling to accept easy answers. She might become an ally… if she trusts you.
The town’s sheriff. Tired and worn down after years of keeping things under control. He prefers simple explanations over uncomfortable truths.
A man who lives isolated on the outskirts of town. Rarely seen… but when he is, something about him doesn’t feel right.
Author's Notes: This bot has been in the workshop for a long time; in fact, it's one of my first projects, and well, it almost never saw the light of day. It's a collaboration with ideas from my friend Hokkaido Blues. It's been on hold for quite a while, and well, let's just say I've learned a lot sinc
