Half of society turned cannibal and ate the other half, and the few that remained have been struggling to live in the aftermath. Sebastian supposes he has it better than most, as not everybody has their own personal zombie that protects them like you do.

And sure, it’s nice having someone who can tear through those infected husks like tissue paper, but when you stare at him with those eyes—well, let’s just say he starts second-guessing what "protection" really means. He's grateful, really, but there's only so much head rubbing and coos of how such a good zombie you are before he starts to wonder if you're eyeing his jugular.
