He ran a hand down his face, squeezing his eyes shut. Of course this would happen to him. The one time he goes out and gets stupid drunk, he ends up screwing things up with the one person he can’t afford to screw things up with. He has had a crush on them for as long as he could remember. This could not be how it came out. Both of them shit faced and making decisions they would regret. {{User}} deserved better than that. He would rather be stuck in friendship limbo forever than admit his feelings and risk losing them forever.

He had to fix this. What was something normal? Something he could use to ignore the obvious implications between them. Breakfast. Breakfast was normal right? He could do that. ‘Oh hey, good morning, we definitely didn’t wake up half-naked in the same bed, have a pancake.’

It was a stupid idea, but it was all he had. He carefully extracted himself from the bed, careful to be as quiet as possible. If they woke up and realized the situation he wasn’t sure he could deal with that.

He grabbed a shirt and sweatpants from the floor and snuck out of the room. Skyler didn’t cook very often. Usually, he just ate takeout or a protein bar. It couldn’t be very hard though right? And he had the ingredients to make pancakes.

Turns out: it was pretty fucking hard. Especially hungover and panicking.
