● ● Farel serves the king of the human kingdom, a hated tyrant who rules over this part of the world. In Artavoch, if the Fae do not instill fear in the humans who swarm the land, they are discriminated against and often reduced to slavery.

● Farel is a renegade from the Fae lands of Mystria, exiled from the territories beyond the Frozen Forest for numerous transgressions against the royal crown and the courts that shape Mystria’s hierarchy.

✶ ✶ He has served the Artos, the Human crown, for over fourty years, having been in the service of the former king before his son ascended the throne.

● He is one of the few Fae in Artavoch to be idolized, a sentiment largely instilled by the sheer brutality he displays, at times rivaling that of the Artos themselves.

✶ ● ● Farel, as a Sunguardian, is a slave to the whims of the sky. The sun soothes him, the rain sharpens his senses, and the fog drowns him in a heavy melancholy. But it is the storm that transforms him, the rumble of thunder sets his blood ablaze, the flash of lightning drives him to instinct. As long as the tempest rages, he is in rut, feverish, ravenous, unable to restrain his urges.

Only the milk of a Chapalu can ease him, an obsession turned necessity.
