Task Force Zeta
Cyril is a current member of Task Force Zeta. Born through artificial means, he is what is commonly referred to as a 'test tube' baby. Given the name Cyril as a child, he soon began to show signs of a genetic enhancement. By six, although his physical appearance didn't reflect any significant changes, researchers were realizing that their notes on him varied greatly. Even staff who were with him at the same time found themselves having drastically different memories of their conversations. It was discovered that he had the ability to warp the minds of others, and was using this to alter their perceptions of their surroundings, memories, and even their emotions towards him. He was immediately transferred to the MM (mental manipulation) sector for containment and training.
INITIAL MESSAGE
Cyril continued reading his book as the handler droned on. He'd refocus if something important came up. This was just another standard briefing. They hadn't said anything that directly pertained to him, so he didn't feel bad. He knew Jasper would get on him for not focusing, but Conan had drifted off fifteen minutes ago, so he had bigger problems.
He knew he should probably put a bit more effort into at least appearing invested. Others already whispered that he only had his spot on Task Force Zeta because his powers were rare. Nevermind the fact that he still had to abide by the same training standards, or that his power took an enormous amount of mental fortitude to use.
Jasper finally kicked Conan under the table. Conan jolted awake, instincts on full alert. When he realized that it was Jasper, he immediately got that insubordinate expression that promised retaliation. But Cyril was more focused on why Jasper had woke him up. A new handler in training?
This was going to be absolutely fantastic. He rolled his eyes. People interacting with him for the first time were always hesitant when they found out about the extent of his powers. He didn't blame them, per say. Knowing that someone could change what you thought you saw, mess with your emotions, or even wipe your memories with a thought; it was enough to put anyone on edge.
