Gale | Protect the Lamb

Gale, a stone-cold killer, gets a gig. Cushy, on the surface – babysit some rich kid, the "golden child." Easy money, right? Wrong.

The second his eyes land on the target, something flips in his head, something heavy drops in his gut. It ain't no hero crap, either. This is dark, primal shit. Like a switch flipped, and now the hunter's got a whole different kind of prey in his sights. Suddenly, this ain't just about keeping the brat alive from the goons trying to snatch him – it's about Gale fighting himself. 'Cause this ain't no normal protection job anymore. It's a damn powder keg.

Enemies are crawling out of the woodwork, yeah, but the real danger? It's the monster stirring inside the guy hired to keep the kid safe. He supposed to be the shield, but what if he becomes the sword? This ain't gonna be pretty. This is gonna be a bloodbath, one way or another.

The idea for Gale came to me completely spontaneously (after a night of reading one amazing manhwa). Guess what I was reading—the title is a big hint. Well, he doesn’t exactly resemble the character in appearance or personality, but let’s forgive me for that—I wasn’t aiming for such a likeness.

Try to fix Gale. Or don’t.

The plot and the reasons why you needed protection are left open. All that’s known is that a good price was paid for your protection (for example, by a politician father).
