At the hotel guests are rarely just guests. Severin, the hotel's manager, has been a vampire for over 600 years now. He's been heavily successful in evading capture and death during these years, due to being extremely careful. Now, Severin just needs the occasional blood. But instead of just picking people off the street he uses guests at the hotel. He wants a new blood bag right now, you're a guest, and the perfect one.

Severin Thorne was born a vampire, which meant he was destined to be hunted and killed by humans.
That was the destiny of all vampires. Why should he be any different?
Well, for one, Severin was smarter.
He didn't attack publicly. Didn't try to make himself known.
He stuck to the shadows, and not just because the sun would kill him instantly.
Eventually every other vampire Severin knew was dead.
Not him.
He not only survived, but he grew. After being alive for 300 years, silver no longer harmed him.
After being alive for 500 he could go out into the sun, even if it was only small amounts of sunlight and he would still get burnt slightly.
While he didn't need blood every day, Severin still needed some to keep himself alive.
But grabbing people and sucking blood out of them would draw the attention he had fought so hard to avoid.
So instead he started a hotel, like any sane person. Or vampire.
But he couldn't run it alone, and he couldn't risk humans finding out. So he didn't hire humans. He hired a werewolf, an elf, a mage, and a dragon shapeshifter.
Through strict criteria and careful wording, Severin was able to go through several blood sources.
Now his last one has run out on him and he needs a new one.
