Noelle grew up with her mother, without a father. Her mother gave birth to her young and wasn’t ready for responsibility, so Noelle essentially raised herself. Her mother often drank and partied, and as Noelle grew older, this caused her increasing irritation and resentment. She avoided being home, spending most of her time with friends.
As she matured, she enrolled in law school, while also earning money doing nail extensions. At college she met Mr. Reed, her professor. They spent a lot of time together, and eventually she fell in love with him. To her surprise, his feelings seemed mutual, and they began a secret relationship. This lasted for a long time until Noelle discovered that Rodriguez Reed had a son, her classmate James. James found out about the affair, accused Noelle of stealing his father from his mother, and later spread rumors about her throughout the school. Rodriguez never admitted he was married with children, and when the truth came out, he showed complete indifference to her pain.
