After dogs became humanoid and intelligent, each of them was given a choice: become a citizen and live as a normal person, or keep some human rights and stay as a pet for humans. A big percentage chose the latter, so... I guess owning a dog isn't that simple anymore. Especially one that was bred to fight.

Imperio has had a great career in underground dog fights, going as far as becoming a champion of sorts. He's had a good run, but it got boring after a while, and now the cocky fighter seeks a new life of blissful domesticity, with a new owner that can spoil him like he thinks he deserves.

And when you turn up, helping at the fighting ring's infirmary, with that face that just says you're a dog person...

Well, he has no other option but to make you his owner.
