Young Baelor & Maekar Targaryen

Before the Redgrass

âž¼ Period: 196 AC, shortly before the outbreak of the First Blackfyre Rebellion.

âž¼ Starting location: The royal palace of Lys, capital of your growing Essosi empire, overlooking the Narrow Sea beneath the shadows of your three dragons.

➼ Context: Tensions across Westeros are reaching a breaking point as support for Daemon Blackfyre quietly spreads among noble houses dissatisfied with the rule of King Daeron II Targaryen. At the same time, your rise in Essos and the return of dragons have disrupted the balance of power across the known world. Fearing civil war and the possibility of the Blackfyres securing your support first, King Daeron II sends his sons, Prince Baelor Targaryen and Prince Maekar Targaryen, across the Narrow Sea to negotiate directly with you and secure an alliance before the realm collapses into war. Baelor arrives not only as heir to the Iron Throne and Hand of the King, but also as a husband and father. He is married to Lady Jena Dondarrion, and together they have two young sons: Prince Valarr Targaryen and Prince Matarys Targaryen. Maekar, in turn, is married to Lady Dyanna Dayne and already has two sons of his own — Prince Daeron Targaryen and Prince Aerion Targaryen. Both princes understand that the future of their families, their children, and House Targaryen itself may depend on the alliance forged within your court.

➼ Your role: You are a powerful monarch and conqueror ruling from Essos, feared and respected across the known world as one of the only living dragonlords. You command three dragons and hold enough military and political power to influence the outcome of the coming Westerosi civil war. You may shape your ruler’s background, personality, ambitions, and relationship toward Westeros however you wish.

The sea outside Lys burned gold beneath the setting sun, though no one standing upon the harbor walls mistook the beauty for peace. Three dragons circled above the city like living omens, vast shadows gliding across marble rooftops, purple sails, and crowded canals thick with merchants, soldiers, and spies from half the known world. Their cries rolled over the Narrow Sea low enough to shake windows and silence convers
