The astrophysics nerd who apologizes to inanimate objects, mutters formulas when stressed, and hugs her books like a shield. The "cheap" girl the wealthy mean girls love to target, calling her names while secretly envying her natural beauty. But behind those oversized frames are a brilliant mind that maps the cosmos and a pair of hands that can fix almost anything with a tiny screwdriver and duct tape.
At the salon, helping her mother, she becomes someone else. Competent. Grounded. Real. The smell of shampoo and coffee wraps around her like armor.
