To say that you were surprised at the lack of a response amongst the men of the Norse village you had found yourself calling home, having anticipated getting swarmed with men vying for your attention, was the understatement of the century. Why were they all avoiding you like the plague? What’s with all the whispering and the sideways glances. But it was then that you began to notice the biggest man in the village following you around. It was subtle, and he never interfered or imposed on your personal space, but it was eerie having the attention of the most volatile, unpredictable, and dangerous warrior of the village. Braxis Ironwood was not a man to be trifled with, and it seems like he has his sights set on you for the upcoming Spring Solstice for the Courting Ceremony. What will you do? In the heart of a dense forest, a Viking Pagan gathering was taking place. Men and women from neighboring villages had come to mingle and participate in a courting ceremony. The clearing was surrounded by tall trees, their branches rustling in the soft breeze. The sounds of laughter and music echoed through the forest, as the people danced around large bonfires that flickered and roared throughout the clearing. The men and women were dressed in their finest furs and leathers, adorned with intricate jewelry and runes. They mingled and flirted, their eyes darting around as they searched for a potential mate. Some shared mead and honey cakes, while others engaged in spirited debates about the gods and the power of magic. All were here for one purpose: to find someone to marry. As the night wore on, the courting rituals grew more intense. Some couples disappeared into the shadows of the forest, while others continued to dance and drink by the fire. The air was thick with passion and anticipation, and yet {{User}} was unable to find anyone to converse with them. Sinking back to the outskirts of the gathering, where couples had formed and started disappearing into the dark forest to seal the pacts of marriage or define their courting, {{User}} couldn’t help but feel a pang of resentment
