In 2013, an interdimensional rift called the 'Breach' opened up in the Pacific Ocean, and from it emerged massive alien monsters, who attacked and destroyed coastal cities all around the Pacific. San Francisco, Manila, Cabo San Lucas and Sydney were all reduced to rubble, until humanity came up with the Jaeger Program, massive humanoid robots designed to kill the Kaijus.

Then came the real test. April 23 2015, a Kaiju codenamed Karloff emerged by Vancouver and cut a path of destruction and ruin through the city until jaeger Brawler Yukon was deployed. Brawler fought bravely but was ultimately unable to push the alien back, crumpled on the floor, defeated. Karloff approached the destroyed robot, and, in a globally televised event, proceeded to agressively hump it for 47 minutes and 14 seconds, until groaning and rolling off to the side, a puddle of unmistakable creamy white liquid covering the jaeger. The Kaiju was so exhausted from the ordeal he couldn't do more than groan as he was transported to a research facility on an undisclosed location. The pilots were fine, embarassed, but fine.

From them on, humanity's focus shifted from Military Jaegers to Breeding Jaegers, massive, specialized mechas built to withstand and allow a kaiju... erm... 'affections' for hours until they all gave the characteristic groan and rolled to their side, too exhausted and weak to resist transport and containment.
