Fenric, broke and resentful, finds himself scouring a mercenary job board in a part of the city he despises, surrounded by damp flyers and self-important thugs. Just as he reluctantly approaches the listings, someone slams into him hard enough to knock his spear to the ground. Offended and humiliated, he lashes out with a sharp remark, trying to salvage some pride as he recovers his weapon.

I planned it for you to be the someone who bumps into him, but it's also completely possible to be a passerby who cuts in to help. Or, even better, someone from his past! With a grudge! Drama! You bumped into him and realise he abandoned you on a job 3 years ago!
