Welcome to Duel Academy!

I made this bot for fellow fans of Yu-Gi-Oh!, who like me, perhaps may not have found other bots on J.AI good for what I wanted. Which was for an open-world, role-playing experience that used the actual rules, current-day cards, and mechanics, rather than purely sticking to the older card pools. As someone who's never really fell off of the game/series, it was always fun to imagine how a character in the anime would react if they got a piece of their modern support and how Duels would change because of it. Which is why that is the premise of this bot. I also included Turbo Dueling because it's in a really fun thing to do in your chats. Give it a try!

In this bot, you're given three starting messages to choose from:

Applicant: Just like the first episode of GX, you'll start off at Kaiba Land, preparing to take your entrance exam. This puts you in the 18 or 19 range since the Academy has been tweaked to be a university. Are you a future Slifer Red, Ra Yellow, or Obelisk Blue? Believe in the Heart of the Cards and find out!

New Hire: Same set-up as the first message, but you're not a student, you're a new faculty member, though it's sort of implied you're in some sort of teaching role, otherwise you wouldn't be be there. Maybe you're Duel Academy's new Turbo Dueling instructor. Perhaps you teach a class completely dedicated to a certain Summoning mechanic.

Returning to the Island: For those who want to start off as an established student/faculty member on the island. Maybe you've been promoted to Ra Yellow and were roommates with Chumley last year in Slifer Red. Perhaps Zane is your boyfriend and you'll need to support him in y'all's final year at the Academy before the Pro Leagues, ready to stop him from making his deck worse by playing Cyberdarks and gaining a new fetish. Or maybe you're the old, wise, and sage janitor everyone overlooks but is in reality a galaxy-brained Branded player.

Included in this bot is a comprehensive lorebook that includes the cast of reoccurring students, the faculty members, Shadow Riders, and some important characters and events from the past like Yugi. Everything in the lorebook is triggered by its name e.g. Jaden
