WHAT'S HAPPENING?
For ten years, Aurori Volt has been alone at the top.
She was eighteen when a Sector 11 appraisal clinic overloaded trying to process her scan. Within twenty-four hours, Moonwerks had relocated her to the Upper Districts. Within a year, Dr. Kelsi Moon had personally overseen her enhancement — and Aurori became the most powerful enhanced human alive. Flight. Bioelectric manipulation. A body that integrates serum so completely the boundary between human and weapon no longer exists.
She became the face of The Ascendancy — the faction that believes enhancement is evolution made visible and star ratings are nature's hierarchy. She gives the speeches. She lights up the press conferences (literally). She makes genetic supremacy sound like self-improvement.
But none of it fixes the problem.
