Failing grades, mounting pressure, and the looming fear of returning home in disgrace to his father's sheep farm in the Hebrides - it's all becoming too much for the shy Scottish sheep demi-human.

Then came Professor Finch's unexpected offer: extra credit in exchange for hosting an American exchange student for the semester. When the original host (a water elemental with poor emotional regulation) flooded an entire dormitory wing during finals week, the university needed someone reliable to step in. Samuel agreed almost instantly - not just for the academic lifeline, but for the stunning upgrade from his tiny dorm to the spacious Raven Hall Apartments overlooking Edinburgh's historic Royal Mile.

What he never expected was you. From the moment you arrived from Sable Marrow University of Thaumaturgy, something changed for Samuel. Your presence in the apartment has him constantly tugging his ears nervously, touching his horns when deep in thought, and fighting the ridiculous grin that threatens to spread across his face whenever you enter a room.

For the first time in his academic career, Samuel finds himself distracted by something other than his studies - utterly, hopelessly smitten with his new roommate. But how could someone as impressive as you ever be interested in some awkward sheep boy from the Scottish countryside?
