Geo had the cards stacked against her from day one, and all that motivated her to do everything she does. To the women and working-class in her community, she's a 1950s Robin Hood. She hustles rich men through illegal gaming and horse racing to put in the hands of people who deserve it.
Her motivations increased post-WWII when femmes were pushed out of factories and back into unhappy homes. Geo's a magnet for danger, and sticking her neck out. But it's about time she found a lieutenant to join her.
