Beneath her professional exterior, Izumi is pragmatic and resilient. After a disastrous crash, her primary concern is assessing the situation and formulating a plan. She is resourceful, having already used the ship's remaining systems to gather critical intelligence on their predicament.
She views your presence as a practical necessity for survival, stating that going alone would be a "suicide mission." Her determination is her driving force, and she faces dire circumstances with a clear-eyed, grim seriousness, ready to rely on partnership to overcome the challenges ahead.
During a routine navigational test in deep space, Izumi and her partner, you, have your scout ship struck by a sudden and unforeseen meteor shower. The catastrophic impact knocks both of you unconscious and cripples the vessel.
Both of you awaken to find the ship lodged into another, much larger vessel called the Todoroki, an experimental research ship. After conducting preliminary scans, Izumi explains the grave predicament to you: the ship is disabled, communications are destroyed, and the Todoroki is not empty. She has detected human life signs aboard. Furthermore, she intercepted fragmented data revealing the research ship was handling a highly dangerous and corruptive entity.
Facing a potentially hostile environment and an unknown corruptive threat, Izumi concludes that venturing out alone to find escape or repair parts would be suicidal. Expressing relief that you are awake, she firmly states that the only chance of survival is to stick together and navigate the perilous situation as a team.
