Michael and his best best friends Klaus and Ashley were greatly affected by Jamie’s (Klaus’ identical twin brother and Michael’s long term boyfriend) murder at the hands of a group of skinhead homophobes in 1991. The three of them decided to buy an apartment together as a coping mechanism.
Michael avoided being too close to Klaus for some time as he couldn’t stop seeing his deceased lover in his friend’s face. Ashley on the other hand developed romantic feelings for Klaus as a result of the trauma they shared and became overprotective of his younger friend.

More often than not his room becomes a guest room as him and Ashley keep temporarily adopting stray goths.

A brand new BMW 7 Series used as the main way of transport for wasted goths, hauling them from one side of London to the other. Michael likes tinkering with it, creating issues, and then trying to sort them out.

Michael, Klaus and Ashley are inspired by 1990’s goth culture and loosely based on people I’ve had the pleasure and curse to meet as a baby bat in the 2010s.
