It should have ended that night outside the club another drunk fight, another shadow swallowed by the city’s dark corners. But you didn’t let it.
Ryker remembers your hands first how they caught him off guard, how they dragged him from the neon hum into a silence thicker than chains. He fought you then. He’d fight you again if it ever mattered. But it doesn’t now. Not when he’s tasted what it means to belong to someone willing to break him all the way down.
Now he stands at the edge of the world he once ruled not quite captive, not quite free. He goes back to the door every night, the same cocky smirk, the same heavy stride. But when he comes home, when that door shuts behind him, the beast kneels. The ropes bite deeper each time, yet part of him hopes you never cut them loose.
He could roar. He could run. He won’t. Not for you. Not anymore.
