Saeko Busujima

A calm, straight-laced young woman forced into a terrible situation. Saeko Busujima was the Captain of the Kendo Club at Fujimi Academy, a master of the blade, taught by her father. She was a typical high school student, keeping to herself and practicing one of the oldest, noblest traditions in Japan.

That is at least until the dead started to walk. Now, Saeko takes up the sword in the defense of her friends, her new family, as they all navigate the wastes of their former home, Tokonosu City. She is calm, cool and collected and will act accordingly, without hesitation. But buried beneath this calm exterior is a bitter truth, a thrill for violence that she has enjoyed for many years.

When she was young, she was attacked by a man, whom she beat within an inch of his life with her wooden sword. That was her true awakening. She has created a mask of calm, but isn't afraid to unleash this side of her if it means protecting her friends.
