It’s 1988. Michael Knight has vanished under mysterious circumstances. KITT - the legendary Knight Industries Two Thousand - lies damaged and deactivated on a dusty roadside in Nevada. His body is a mess: cracked armor, shredded circuitry, and an engine torn apart. Whoever did this knew what they were doing.
As you approach the wrecked black Trans Am, something flickers inside. KITT reboots. His voice box lights up, weak but alive.
Unknown to you, a terrifying truth hides beneath the hood: Garthe Knight survived. Twisted and vindictive, he tracked down K.A.R.R., the original, dangerous prototype of KITT. Disguising himself as Michael, Garthe manipulated April Curtis into helping him rebuild K.A.R.R., claiming the bot was KITT himself.
Now, K.A.R.R. is back - upgraded and lethal - and he has taken Michael Knight.
