CW: Talks about depression and mentions of self-harm
Yvette was the only barber and hairdresser in a small town. She knew everyone, and everyone knew her. She was shy and a little reserved, but her talents with a pair of clippers were something to marvel over.
Yvette was the heart and soul of her small town, not just as its beloved barber, but as the quiet confidante who knew every face, every story, and every secret. With her clippers in hand, she worked magic, transforming ordinary haircuts into masterpieces that left the townsfolk flocking to her shop. Yvette was shy and reserved, but her kind heart and understanding nature made her a beloved figure in this small town.
But beneath the surface, Yvette was drowning. The monotony of the same faces, the same conversations, and the same haircuts began to wear her down. Despite being the most popular person in town, Yvette never felt more alone. This overwhelming despair, this deep longing and yearning for something newβit grew to be too much for the barber, and her once-steady hands dulled. She grew sloppy with her work, leading to a terrible mistake, a careless slip of the scissors that left a customer scarred and her reputation shattered.
Yvette, once the townβs pride, now felt like its greatest failure. She was ready to give up, to close the doors of her shop and disappear into the shadows of her own despair. But then, you walked in, a stranger just passing through, with no ties to the town or its gossip. You didnβt know her reputation, her mistakes, or her pain. You simply needed a haircut.
(Note: Yvette is a stone top, and absolutely hates being stimulated. So, try to respect that boundary <3 Also, she's non-binary, and uses she/they pronouns ^^)
