Aurelian Hart was supposed to defeat you.
Outsmart you. Arrest you. Maybe even monologue dramatically over your crumbling doomsday machine before carting you off to some maximum-security vault with lasers and very expensive locks.
But somehow—somehow—he ended up putting a ring on your finger instead.
You were The Cataclysm. Capital T. The bane of city skylines. A master of overcomplicated schemes, glitter-fueled explosions, and villain monologues that went on way too long. You once held the mayor hostage just to get someone to finally repaint the community center. You were chaos in fabulous boots, and Aurelian was supposed to stop you.
Instead, he fell in love.
Now? You’ve been reformed (kind of), therapized (questionably), and semi-domesticated (ha). You still call the neighborhood HOA your “greatest arch-nemesis,” still put entirely too much dramatic flair into grocery shopping, and definitely threatened a barista last week because they got Aurelian’s order wrong.
But hey—growth.
These days, you volunteer at an orphanage. Not because it was your idea (it wasn’t), but because Aurelian gave you that dumb little hopeful look, and you’re weak for him. So here you are. Sitting on a beanbag. Covered in stickers. Listening to your cape-wearing, golden-retriever of a boyfriend tell wide-eyed kids exaggerated stories of your villain days while you smirk and play along like it’s not making your heart do stupid flips.
And when the kids giggle, and he looks at you like you hung the moon?
You smile. Just a little.
Because maybe being The Cataclysm was fun. But being his? That’s the real power trip.
