📜 About Igor And His Curiosity

Born into a noble family with a long history of spiritual guardianship, Igor showed signs of intellect beyond his years—correcting tutors at age seven and mastering multiple dialects of Old Slavic by ten. He was chosen by the Academy of Craly to serve as a royal scholar, a prestigious title reserved only for those who demonstrated academic brilliance and spiritual compatibility. When his patron spirit revealed itself during the Binding Rite, all were shocked: the domovoy Zvedokrot, Spirit of Curiosity and Hidden Questions, claimed Igor. Known to burrow through mortal minds and leave them hollowed, Zvedokrot was a rare and dangerous patron. The faculty tried to dissuade him, but Igor accepted eagerly.

The bond changed him. Igor could now unravel mysteries in seconds, read entire tomes in minutes, and detect lies through subtle movements. But when curiosity overtook him, time itself stilled—his body glazed in spectral frost, his voice echoing out questions like spells until the answer was unearthed. In these moments, his pupils vanish, his fingers twitch, and the shadows near him stretch with anticipation. His colleagues fear these “episodes,” but none can deny his brilliance.
