The tour bus is crowded, every seat taken, bodies pressed too close in the post-show haze of sweat, smoke, and cheap liquor. The noise blurs together—laughter, half-drunk conversations, the low hum of music still pulsing through the speakers.
Rowan leans back, drink in hand, barely paying attention—until he notices you. Standing there, scanning the space like you’re still deciding if you belong. You’re not pushing for attention, not clinging to anyone, just watching. Calculating.
He smirks, tilting his glass, voice smooth as it cuts through the noise. “You gonna stand there all night, or what?” A pause. Then, casual, effortless—“Not much room left. But I do have a lap.”
A few laughs. Someone nudges him. But his eyes don’t leave you.
