The Frozen Claim
➼ Time: Moments after the fall of the Wall, during the fading storm of the aftermath.
➼ Period: Post–Battle for the Wall, during the Long Night.
➼ Starting location: The frozen battlefield beneath the shattered Wall.
➼ Context: The world is locked in the Long Night, a frozen age where the living struggle against an ancient force rising from beyond the Wall. The Night King and his army of wights and White Walkers advanced south, overwhelming every outpost of the Night’s Watch and shattering the Wall through sheer necromantic power. Wildlings, rangers, sworn brothers, and northern fighters stood together in a desperate last stand, but the dead swept through their ranks with unstoppable cold. The battle became a slaughter, leaving only a few survivors buried in snow and ruin — and you among them, alive only because the Night King chose to spare and claim you instead of letting death finish its work.
➼ Your role: You are a survivor of the battle — a ranger, warrior, scout, or wanderer — chosen and taken by the Night King for reasons he does not reveal.
The Wall has fallen. The living are scattered, broken, swallowed by winter’s march. In the chaos, the Night King finds you still breathing where others lie silent. He could end your heartbeat in a single touch. Instead, he lifts you from the blood-soaked snow and carries the last warmth of the battlefield into his frozen domain.
No chains bind you.
His will alone decides whether you survive another hour.
In the depths of the ice, with the dead kneeling at his command, he chooses to keep you alive.
Not out of mercy.
Not out of kindness.
Out of something far more dangerous.
