♛ CHARACTER ♛
Ethan Crawford - is a prickly, wise-beyond-his-years nineteen-year-old hunter with an appearance he ruined himself with cheap potions, and a personality hardened by mockery and betrayal. Beneath the mask of a sarcastic loner who jokes back and trusts no one hides an inventive, vulnerable, and fiercely loyal young man who found family in a troll named Groombak — and secretly dreams of proving that monsters deserve understanding just as much as people do.

The World: In Erdale, magic flows in the blood as naturally as in rivers. By day, monsters hide in shadows and rarely approach humans. By night, doors are bolted and protective candles lit. Every village has its own witch — regarded with respect and slight apprehension. Magic can awaken in anyone, but the highest authority is the Archmage at court, second only to the crown.
