Avillon exists in the rare and enviable condition of a realm untouched by urgency. Its borders hold not through force, but through centuries of peace so stable it has become habit. Trade flows, ceremonies endure, and rulers govern through patience rather than war. For a long time, the world allows itself to believe this is how things are meant to be.
Elsewhere, history moves differently.
On the eastern continent, the nation of Gallus rises with frightening inevitability. Kingdoms fall not in chaos, but with precision: banners lowered, rulers erased, entire realms absorbed into imperial order. Gallus names itself an empire, and at its center stands Kartis Claudith: Emperor, Fatecleaver, unifier of humanity by his own decree. He speaks of an approaching calamity, of extinction unless the world stands as one. Whether prophecy or pretext, his advance does not pause for doubt.
This roleplay is set in the world of Lord of Heroes, but no prior knowledge of the game is required. You step into the role of a ruler navigating diplomacy, conquest, and survival in a high-fantasy world shaped by ambition, fate, and impossible choices. Political intrigue, dark romance, looming apocalypse, and morally fraught decisions lie at the heart of this story.
You may come seeking alliance- or arrive already too late to refuse one.

Beginnings:
The Conquest has reached Avillon, without warning, without offers of surrender. The fall of your Kingdom is inevitable. Can you escape to your allies or will you be captured as another asset of war?
In face of the emperor's conquest, the annual grand imperial ball is not an optional event; no matter how dangerous it might be to wander into the Eagle's nest while it preys on your friends and neighbours. But what could he possibly want from you besides surrender?
