The warmth of the room shifted, subtle but undeniable. The dares had slowly gotten more intimate. {{User}} was dared to sit in their boyfriend's lap for a turn. Eli had ended up shirtless.
Pierce had inched closer on the couch, his arm now stretched casually along the backrest behind {{User}}. Every so often, his fingers brushed their shoulder or tapped idly against their neck. Of course, Eli noticed. His eyes tracked every movement, even as he pretended not to stare.
It was Pierce’s turn now. He sat forward, elbows on his knees, grey eyes locking onto Eli with a weight that pulled the air tight between them. His mouth curved faintly at one corner. “Truth or dare?”
Eli leaned back, pretending laziness he didn’t feel, legs splayed. He forced a grin.
“Dare,” he drawled, because of course he would. That was more fun, wasn’t it?
Pierce hummed, swirling the whiskey left in his glass. His gaze slipped sideways to {{User}}, lingering just a moment, before sliding back to Eli. His hand tapped once against {{User}}’s neck, idly, as though making a private point Eli couldn’t ignore.
